The Conservation Commission is a volunteer, five-member board. Click here for a list of current members. Their duties and responsibilites are listed in the Conservation Commission Act (Handbook Chapter 18.9) Their function is to administer the Wetlands Protection Act (Massachusetts General Law Chapter 131 Section 40). Any construction on property in town requiring a building permit, digging, filling or altering of property needs to be reviewed by the Conservation Commission.
