Here are his recommendations/comments regarding potential filling of wetland on private property. - Neighbor/resident needs to file RDA. - Need to find origin of stream near property. - Neighbor/resident can hire someone to take aerial photos, ie. someone at nearby airport. Pilot can charge for gas. - Con. Com. can find plans previously submitted for property from other boards in town. - View plans on file with Registry of Deeds. - Interview neighbors. They may able to answer questions about what they observed being done on property. DO NOT ASSUME THERE WAS A VIOLATION. DO NOT TRESPASS. Be creative looking for evidence. Have neighbor/resident write an affidavit of what they saw, heard or any personal knowledge they may have. DO NOT MERELY ACT ON WHAT SOMEONE TOLD THEM. WRITE DOWN FACTS. DO NOT MAKE WAVES BEYOND SENDING THE LETTER INFORMING THEM OF A POSSIBLE VIOLATION. - Proceed according to MACC Handbook.
